For years, enterprise identity programs have struggled to govern every application in their environment, often leaving critical legacy and terminal systems managed through spreadsheets or service-desk tickets. That gap — what security professionals call the “last mile” of identity governance — is precisely what a new technology alliance between One Identity and READI aims to close. The partnership, announced October 23, 2026, from Cork, Ireland, brings together One Identity’s unified governance suite with READI’s Smart Connector technology, enabling customers to govern previously ungovernable applications without custom code or APIs.
Most organizations govern only a fraction of their critical applications through their IGA platform, leaving the rest as blind spots where accounts that should have been deprovisioned or access grants that were never certified can hide. These ungoverned systems represent audit findings waiting to happen, and the new alliance directly addresses that risk. By pairing One Identity’s suite — which spans Identity Governance and Administration, Privileged Access Management, and Active Directory Management and Security — with READI’s AI computer-vision engine, joint customers can now automate provisioning, deprovisioning, certification, and remediation across web, Win32, terminal, mainframe, and cloud applications.
“Enterprise identity programs have made major investments in governance, but the last mile is where risk and inefficiency hide. Legacy systems and manual edge cases are exactly what traditional IGA tools can’t reach,” said Larry Chinski, Global Vice President of Enterprise Strategy at One Identity. “Adding READI’s automation gives customers a way to close that gap without ripping out what already works.”
The integration works where standard connectors stop. READI’s Smart Connector technology uses a large language model and computer-vision engine to interact with applications the way a person would, then automates identity lifecycle actions across the full application estate — with no scripting and no API dependency. For joint customers, that means disconnected systems come under the same provisioning, certification, and audit reporting as everything else, creating one governed estate instead of two.
“Our mutual partners now have a formally supported joint offering — and a validated answer to the connectivity gap that has scoped down too many identity programs for too long,” said Mike Gray, VP of Sales & Alliances at READI. “The consultancies and integrators already working across both ecosystems can bring this to clients with confidence.”
The integration is available to joint customers through both companies’ existing partner programs. The companies will also pursue joint integration work, shared go-to-market initiatives, and co-branded resources, with additional technical details expected in the coming weeks.
One Identity, headquartered in Cork, Ireland, is trusted by 80 of the Fortune 100 and delivers identity security for enterprises worldwide, protecting both human and non-human identities. READI, based in Canada, offers an identity automation platform that extends IGA coverage to legacy systems, Win32 desktop applications, mainframe environments, and anything without a modern API.
Why it matters: This partnership signals a shift in how enterprises can approach identity governance for hard-to-reach systems, potentially reducing the manual workarounds that create security gaps. For organizations that have accepted incomplete IGA coverage as inevitable, the alliance offers a path to bring even the most stubborn applications under formal governance — without the disruption of replacing existing infrastructure.
