During gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Brazilian studios, service providers, and accelerator-backed companies will showcase new games and business opportunities.
Brazil Games, the export program for games run by Abragames (the Brazilian Association of Game Developers) in collaboration with ApexBrasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), has confirmed its involvement at gamescom 2026. The event will be held from August 19–23 in Cologne, Germany.
Brazil Games will take part once again in the planet’s biggest video game gathering, bringing a delegation that includes Brazilian developers, service providers, independent studios, and industry representatives. This group will be featured in both the business and consumer sections of gamescom, highlighting Brazil’s standing as a nation that creates original games, delivers specialized production services, and forges lasting ties with the global market.
This undertaking is part of the ongoing efforts led by Abragames and ApexBrasil to assist Brazilian game companies in going global. At gamescom, Brazil Games will help studios connect with publishers, investors, platforms, media, and possible business collaborators, while also enabling gamers to uncover projects made in Brazil.
Brazil’s involvement at the event reflects a sector that has advanced considerably in recent years. The delegation comprises companies focused on original intellectual properties, co-development, art, animation, outsourcing, and other niche services. Collectively, they present a more complete view of the Brazilian games industry: imaginative, commercially driven, and increasingly ready to operate in worldwide markets.
“Brazil continues to establish itself as an increasingly important partner for the global games industry,” said Patricia Sato, Executive Manager at Brazil Games. “Our work with ApexBrasil and Abragames is focused on creating real opportunities for Brazilian companies, from business meetings to visibility for new projects. Brazil has talent, technical capacity and a creative identity of its own, and we want the global market to see that up close.”
Brazil Takes the Spotlight at gamescom’s Indie Area
For the very first time, Brazil Games will run a dedicated pavilion inside gamescom’s Indie Area, providing a fresh platform for up-and-coming Brazilian studios and their original IPs. This pavilion will bring together programs and backing from Brazil Games Accelerator, Embratur, and Sebrae-SP, collectively unveiling dozens of Brazilian-made titles to global audiences during the event.
As the pavilion’s primary exhibitor, Brazil Games Accelerator will present a handpicked selection of games from its most recent cohort, underscoring the program’s role in nurturing promising Brazilian studios with potential for international growth.
This Indie Area presence marks an important advancement for Brazil’s independent development scene. It grants global audiences direct exposure to games shaped by Brazilian creators, featuring projects that mirror the country’s diverse regions, inspirations, narratives, and styles.
A Consolidated B2B Presence at gamescom
Alongside its consumer-facing activities, Brazil Games will keep a solid presence in the B2B area, arranging meetings between Brazilian companies and international publishers, investors, service providers, and industry players.
Participating firms will present both original game projects and specialized development services, strengthening Brazil’s reputation as a trustworthy partner for co-development, outsourcing, and creative collaboration.
For gamescom 2026, Brazil Games has also broadened its business support materials and industry catalogues, launching dedicated publications focused on games and service providers. The aim is to help international partners more easily grasp what Brazilian companies offer, identify possible collaborators, and start conversations during the event.
This business emphasis is central to the Brazil Games Export Program. The program’s work at international events goes beyond simple promotion. It is designed to help Brazilian companies reach markets, cultivate relationships, and convert visibility into concrete opportunities.
Brazil’s Expanding Games Ecosystem
Brazil Games’ participation at gamescom 2026 comes at a moment when the Brazilian game development sector continues to draw international attention, buoyed by initiatives that foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and export readiness.
The delegation will highlight upcoming projects slated for release over the next two years, including games from Brazil Games Accelerator and other development programs linked to the country’s industry expansion.
By uniting established firms and fledgling studios, Brazil Games aims to reinforce Brazil’s role as a relevant player in the international games market. The initiative also underscores the part Abragames and ApexBrasil play in building bridges between Brazilian companies and global partners.
Brazil’s presence at gamescom also serves as a reminder of what makes the country’s game industry distinctive: a combination of technical expertise, creative drive, cultural diversity, and the ability to collaborate with partners from various markets. From business meetings to the Indie Area, Brazil Games will present a nation that is prepared not only to exhibit its games but also to engage in business with the world.
More information about participating companies, games featured, and meeting opportunities at gamescom 2026 will be revealed in the coming weeks.
