Through the new California Recovery Center app, the Roseville recovery community now has a single hub for support, guidance, and connection that extends well past the conclusion of treatment.

ROSEVILLE, CA, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — California Recovery Center (CRC), a Joint Commission-accredited drug and alcohol treatment provider based in Roseville, California, has officially introduced a mobile application designed to maintain recovery support connections once formal treatment concludes.

This new app serves the entire CRC community: individuals currently undergoing treatment, alumni who have graduated from a program, their relatives, participants in CRC’s DUI program, and the broader public, which includes families, supporters, and local recovery members looking to stay engaged with the center. For clients and alumni, the app provides private access to motivation, dedicated community forums, reminders, and recovery tools all in one convenient mobile location. Meanwhile, public users can tap into educational and wellness materials through the same platform.

"Support that truly matters shouldn’t disappear once treatment is over," stated Will Mentesh, CEO of California Recovery Center. "We developed the CRC app to ensure both our current clients and alumni have continuous access to the support, tools, and motivation that are essential for lasting recovery."

Addressing the gap that appears on discharge day

The period immediately following discharge is widely considered one of the most critical and risky phases in recovery, yet it is also when contact with treatment providers typically decreases. California Recovery Center designed the app based on a different belief: that recovery is nurtured not by one-time interventions but through steady, ongoing support, and that small, repeated acts of encouragement are what truly sustain progress.

– Through the app, users can:
– Monitor recovery milestones and perform daily check-ins
– Receive consistent encouragement and supportive messages
– Keep up with community news, alumni activities, and center announcements
– Access reminders designed to reinforce recovery habits
– Locate recovery resources easily without searching multiple platforms
– Stay connected to the CRC community, regardless of whether they completed treatment recently or years ago, if they choose to do so

This launch expands upon the center’s current aftercare and alumni initiatives, which include individual, group, and family therapy, connections to 12-step meetings, sober living referrals, outpatient and telehealth services, and a network of over 200 alumni.

"This app embodies a core value of ours," Mentesh added. "Recovery is frequently built through small, steady moments of support. We created this app to make those moments more accessible, whether someone is currently in treatment or is continuing their journey years down the road."

Specialized features for each stage of recovery

A key differentiator of the CRC app is its focus on more than just alumni. Clients can start using certain recovery tools and resources while still in treatment, which helps them become familiar with the platform and develop positive engagement practices before they finish their program. When they eventually transition to alumni status, they are continuing a routine they’ve already established rather than adapting to something unfamiliar.

CRC views recovery as an ongoing process rather than separate, isolated phases. While treatment might end on a specific date, recovery itself continues long after. The CRC app was developed to ease this transition by offering a consistent platform where clients and alumni can find resources, stay involved, and build strong support systems throughout their entire recovery path.

Access is deliberately tiered. Alumni receive complete access to the platform, including a private community feed, a member directory, and alumni-specific activities. Active clients benefit from the same personal recovery tools, such as daily check-ins, sobriety tracking, milestone monitoring, resources, and event listings, with their move into the alumni peer community taking place formally upon discharge. This framework protects privacy and ensures that peer community features are only available to those who have shared the experience of completing treatment together.

The general public, including family members and supporters, can also download the app. Public access includes daily check-ins, a sobriety tracker, milestone tracking, a meeting finder, recovery resources, and crisis support—the same self-help tools available to clients and alumni. However, public users do not have access to the private community feed, member directory, or alumni-only engagement spaces, which are reserved for those who have undergone treatment together. This setup allows CRC to offer practical recovery tools, including crisis support, to a wider audience while maintaining the security of peer community areas.

This approach aligns with a growing recognition in behavioral health that alumni engagement should start earlier than many organizations typically think. Instead of waiting until discharge to reconnect people with support, CRC provides clients with the same recovery tools they will use as alumni, fostering a smooth continuum of care that extends beyond the formal treatment period.

"We don’t see alumni engagement as starting on discharge day," Mentesh explained. "Engagement in recovery begins the moment a person decides to take part in their own healing. The app gives clients the same personal recovery tools they’ll use as alumni, so when they graduate, they aren’t starting from scratch—they’re continuing what they’ve already begun. And since the peer community is limited to those who’ve been through treatment together, it remains a safe, private space."

Next on CRC’s development schedule are dedicated communities for families and DUI program participants, using the same tiered-access approach already in place for clients and alumni.

The California Recovery Center app is now available for free download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
