ADM + ELEKS: Germany’s GovTech dream team, bringing Estonian digital leadership to German public administration

We look forward to bringing our Estonian GovTech experience to UMMD – building modern and highly resilient portals on an open-source foundation, together with the UMMD team and ELEKS.”— Krister Rekkaro, Chief Business Development Officer, ADM Interactive

BERLIN, GERMANY, October 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — University Medicine Magdeburg (UMMD) has chosen ELEKS and ADM Interactive, following a public tender, to overhaul its digital infrastructure. The project involves a full rebuild of UMMD’s public-facing website and the creation of a new, scalable intranet portal built on the open-source Drupal platform. These efforts are designed to bolster UMMD’s digital sovereignty while laying the groundwork for future digital services, content management, governance, and long-term operations at one of Germany’s premier university medical institutions. Cybersecurity resilience is a core requirement woven throughout the entire architecture.

ADM Interactive, an Estonia-based technology firm positioned in this partnership as a “GovTech Powerhouse,” brings expertise from one of the world’s most sophisticated digital ecosystems — a pioneer in digital identities, online services, and citizen-centric administration. ELEKS GmbH, ADM’s local German partner, will manage delivery, engineering, and long-term operational support on the ground.

“Estonia has spent two decades building some of the world’s best digital government services – our job is to make sure that know-how doesn’t stay theoretical once it lands in Germany,” said Dr Andreas Gödecke, Managing Director at ELEKS GmbH. “As ADM’s local partner, we’re the ones on the ground turning that expertise into real engineering, real platforms and long-term support for organisations like UMMD.”

Combining Global Engineering Expertise with GovTech Experience

The collaboration merges ELEKS’ proficiency in digital transformation, engineering, UX, delivery, and managed services with ADM Interactive’s extensive track record in public-sector and GovTech projects — pairing deep technical delivery capability with public-sector domain knowledge for one of Germany’s leading university medical institutions.

Together, ELEKS and ADM Interactive are assisting UMMD in building a future-ready digital platform for patients, employees, researchers, and visitors — enhancing user experience, accessibility, security, and scalability as part of a long-term digital transformation and innovation partnership between UMMD, ELEKS, and ADM Interactive.

Why it matters: This contract signals a growing appetite among German public institutions for open-source platforms and externally proven digital-government expertise. By prioritizing digital sovereignty and cyber resilience, UMMD is setting a precedent for how large healthcare organizations can modernize their infrastructure without locking into proprietary systems.
