InspectNTrack’s Smart Safety Pro Now Rolling Out at Caterpillar Sites Across Illinois and Texas

Following a joint effort between Caterpillar Inc. and InspectNTrack, the Smart Safety Pro solution from InspectNTrack is now being introduced at Caterpillar locations throughout Illinois and Texas

By working with Smart Safety Pro, Caterpillar has gained greater control over employee task management.

Following several months of cooperation between Health and Safety Coordinators at Caterpillar Inc. and the InspectNTrack team, the Smart Safety Pro platform from InspectNTrack is now being deployed across Caterpillar worksites in Illinois and Texas.

With more than 600 active projects, Caterpillar required a system that confirms not only that tasks are finished, but also that safety considerations are addressed during execution. Initially, Caterpillar’s Health and Safety Coordinators attempted to rely on paper-based methods for these checks; however, those approaches turned out to be not only inefficient but also an obstacle to meeting the company’s safety objectives.

Although Smart Safety Pro offers a wide range of advantages to its clients, the primary appeal for Caterpillar was its capacity to enforce workflows. Now, because Smart Safety Pro’s software has been tailored to meet their specific requirements, employees at every level of Caterpillar are experiencing significant benefits. Administrators gain confidence that work is performed in the proper sequence and that safety compliance tracking is upheld, since the software can automate specific task prerequisites for different user groups. Moreover, because Caterpillar requires certain user groups to complete safety training before undertaking particular tasks, Smart Safety Pro delivers that training to end users at any time, from any location, through its mobile application.

About Caterpillar

Established in 1925, Caterpillar Inc. is the global leader in manufacturing mining and construction equipment, diesel and gas engines, gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives. About Smart Safety Pro

The newest flagship product from Wentworth Inc., Smart Safety Pro by InspectNTrack, debuted in 2024. Although it was initially created solely for performing lockout tagout inspections, the software has since broadened its scope to cover general safety inspections. Smart Safety Pro is now widely recognized for its ability to build procedures and complete lockout tagout procedures and periodic inspections entirely from a mobile device. It features an enterprise-ready design, including a built-in site map, divisional hierarchy, user permissions, and site assignments. Additionally, Smart Safety Pro retains all the features that customers appreciate in InspectNTrack, such as wireless functionality and compatibility with any device type (Android, iOS, Windows) and any code format (QR, barcode, RFID).
