OmniMD Named to DHN Top Healthcare Innovators 2026 List for Two Decades of EHR, RCM and Interoperability Work

At its Ahmedabad City Meetup, Digital Health News honored OmniMD for its work in EHR, RCM, and interoperability, which supports more than 12,000 U.S. healthcare professionals.

Our responsibility is to ensure that clinical documentation, billing, and patient records remain interconnected, allowing physicians to focus on patients rather than on administrative tasks.”— Divan Dave, CEO of OmniMD

OmniMD, a healthcare technology company based in the United States that has developed electronic health record (EHR), revenue cycle management (RCM), and interoperability systems for American medical practices since 2002, has been selected for the DHN Top Healthcare Innovators 2026 list by Digital Health News (DHN). The award was presented on August 22 during the DHN City Meetup held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, an event that gathered hospital administrators, chief operating officers, and healthcare policy stakeholders under the theme "The Digital Health Decade: Gujarat's Moment to Lead."

Signed by Vishnu Saxena, Founder and CEO of DHN Media India, the award recognizes OmniMD for "shaping the future of healthcare through innovation, impact and purpose."

Founded in 2002 by Divan Dave, who remains the company's Chief Executive Officer, OmniMD is headquartered in Hawthorne, New York. Its early business centered on specialty-specific EHR templates and claims management tools for independent physician practices, at a time when most electronic records vendors concentrated on large hospital systems.

Over the subsequent two decades, OmniMD broadened its platform to include practice management, telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and a health information exchange layer known as OmniXchange, which facilitates data transfer with laboratories and other electronic health record systems via FHIR, HL7, JSON, and XML standards.

The company's EHR platform holds ONC certification and is utilized by more than 12,000 medical professionals across over 20 clinical specialties, such as cardiology, primary care, internal medicine, psychiatry, and pediatrics.

In 2025, OmniMD launched a suite of AI-enabled tools, including an AI medical scribe, an AI-driven front desk product for scheduling and insurance eligibility checks, and an automated claims and denial management system, expanding its RCM and documentation capabilities into generative AI.

"This honor acknowledges work that began with a small team aiming to provide independent physicians with the same clinical and financial tools that large hospital systems already possessed," said Divan Dave, CEO of OmniMD. "Two decades later, the mission remains unchanged. Our role is to keep clinical documentation, billing, and patient records linked so that physicians can dedicate their time to patients rather than to administrative systems that fail to communicate with each other."

The DHN City Meetup series, organized by Digital Health News across multiple Indian cities in 2026—including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad—brings together hospital chief information officers, medical superintendents, clinicians, and healthcare technology companies to discuss digital adoption in Indian hospitals. OmniMD's recognition at the Ahmedabad event reflects the company's global delivery operations, which support its U.S. client base from both the United States and India.
