Race Link Live expands its off-road racing platform after participating in the Vegas to Reno and Dirt Rebellion events, pushing forward with video, GPS, CAN data, timing, race operations, and Race Link Core.

Race Link Live brings together onboard video, GPS tracking, selected CAN and ECU telemetry, timing, race operations, in-vehicle systems, live production, and replay, all centered on a unified race record. Instead of handling tracking, timing, video, and telemetry as separate functions, the platform is built to keep these systems interconnected from the vehicle all the way through race operations, teams, production, and post-race analysis.
At Vegas to Reno, Colton Gubler used Race Link Live, with the system capturing onboard video, vehicle position, and detailed CAN telemetry from the race car. During Dirt Rebellion, Gilbert Racing employed Race Link Live with multiple onboard camera angles, live vehicle tracking, and CAN data.
Together, these deployments confirmed the platform's performance in long-course desert competition and supplied real-world field data that was used to strengthen synchronization, connectivity, and race-day processes under actual racing conditions.

Race Link Live was developed around a shared vehicle-side timeline for video, GPS, and telemetry. Cameras, position data, and selected CAN or ECU channels are all linked to the same race timestamp at the source. The 2026 race deployments confirmed that architecture under live competition and led to enhancements in how information is captured, buffered, transported, and reconstructed through periods of connectivity loss.
When connectivity is limited, vehicle-side capture continues locally, and available history can synchronize once a connection is restored. Race Link Live also distinguishes between information that is current, delayed, or unavailable, rather than presenting stale data as live.
The synchronized architecture proved especially valuable during the Gubler deployment. Recorded CAN data can be viewed alongside the vehicle's location and onboard video from the same moment in the race, enabling teams to examine driver input and vehicle response without manually aligning separate exports. Available channels may include speed, RPM, throttle and brake input, temperatures, fuel use, chassis motion, and other vehicle-specific data made accessible through the race vehicle.
Since its February launch, Race Link Live has expanded the same architecture into additional race-day functions. The platform now includes virtual checkpoint timing, course and field tracking, splits and gaps, penalties, race operations, live production, and replay.
Race organizers can import course geometry, define timing points, monitor field position, review timing and incident information, and retain the event record from course setup through final results. Production teams can work from available onboard video, timing, position, graphics, and replay. Race teams can follow vehicle position, selected telemetry, and onboard views during competition, then return to the same timeline afterward for engineering and driver review.
Race Link Core extends that race context into the vehicle. The rugged driver-facing system is designed to provide course position, speed-zone information, traffic and passing states, hazards, cautions, SOS status, and race-control messages. Supported commands can retain delivery and acknowledgement status, while local course functions and event records continue through connectivity gaps.
Race Link Core Lite provides position, event state, and independent race connectivity for vehicles where a full driver display is not required.
