This initiative is spearheaded by the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA), Government of Uttarakhand, and is being advanced under the direction of Shri Pradeep Batra, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for Information Technology, Government of Uttarakhand, with strategic oversight from DR. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Secretary, Information Technology, and Shri Alok Pandey, Director, ITDA.
Centered on the theme “Build for Uttarakhand,” UKIS Hackathon 2026 aims to push innovation beyond mere competition toward tangible societal impact, motivating participants to create scalable solutions in fields such as governance, tourism, agriculture, healthcare, environment, disaster resilience, mobility, and other emerging areas.
The program offers more than standard prize money. Participants can earn cash awards, partner perks, expert guidance, internships, certificates, recognition, and career opportunities, establishing a route from issue identification and ideation through prototyping, validation, and possible deployment.
