Viirtue lands in OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Codex plugin marketplace, no custom build needed

–

Partners and customers can install Viirtue from the ChatGPT plugin directory and ask questions of their cloud phone system with no custom connector build.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL, UNITED STATES, October 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The barrier to blending AI with everyday telecom just got lower. Viirtue, a channel-only AI voice platform built for MSPs and telecom resellers, has announced its official entry into OpenAI’s supported plugin marketplace for both ChatGPT and Codex. This means partners and their end customers can skip the heavy lifting of building or configuring a custom connector—they simply install the plugin from the directory and log in with their existing Viirtue credentials.

“Our partners told us they want AI to work with their phone system, not sit beside it,” said Dan Rosenrauch, Co-Founder and CEO of Viirtue. “Being in OpenAI’s supported marketplace removes the setup step. Partners who want the experience under their own name can still deploy a white label custom connector.”

With the plugin installed, users can pose plain-language questions about their Viirtue cloud phone system—such as which calls were missed yesterday, who is currently logged into the support queue, whether the front-desk phone is online, what AI Voice Agents handled this week, or if a fax went through. The answers pull live from the customer’s account.

The plugin’s functionality is intentionally narrow. It supports just two actions—updating a user’s name or email, and logging a call-center agent into or out of a queue—and each action requires user confirmation before it executes. The plugin is designed not to delete data, place calls, or send messages or faxes.

Security and compliance remain front and center. Recorded content—including call recordings, transcripts, and voicemail audio—follows each company’s compliance setting and is only delivered when Viirtue has enabled it at the customer’s explicit request. Access is restricted to the accounts a user’s credential is permitted to see, and administrators can revoke access at any time.

**Why it matters:** This integration signals a broader shift toward AI-native telecom management, where business phone systems become queryable through familiar conversational interfaces. By removing the custom-build hurdle, Viirtue is lowering the entry bar for MSPs and their clients, potentially accelerating AI adoption across small and mid-sized enterprises.
