INIU debuts Rugged Series to power outdoor adventures with solar and IP67 gear

Charging brand INIU is moving beyond everyday power banks and into the wild. With the launch of INIU Outdoor and its first Rugged Series, the company is targeting hikers, campers, and adventurers who need reliable energy off the grid. The new lineup combines tough, weather-resistant builds with fast charging and solar compatibility, and it arrives alongside a partnership with fitness platform Strava for a 100-Minute Outdoor Challenge aimed at engaging active communities.

The Rugged Series consists of three products: the Rugged 10000 power bank, the Rugged 20000 power bank, and the Solar Panel 28W. Both power banks are rated IP67 for dust and water resistance and have passed drop tests from 1.2 meters under MIL-STD-810G 516.6, so they are built to handle rain, dirt, and the occasional fumble on the trail.

Durability is only half the story. The Rugged 10000 weighs roughly 195.7 grams and delivers 45W fast charging through dual USB-C ports, while the Rugged 20000 comes in at about 353.2 grams, supports up to 65W fast charging, and adds a USB-A port for older devices. That power is enough for smartphones, cameras, GPS units, drones, and even lightweight laptops. An Automatic Low-Current Mode also protects small accessories like earbuds from overcharging.

For after-dark or off-grid scenarios, the series includes built-in lighting, a detachable carabiner, and a standard 1/4″-20 tripod thread for mounting. Pairing the banks with the Solar Panel 28W enables recharging from the sun. All units are safeguarded by 18-Layer SmartProtect and come with a five-year warranty. The Rugged 10000 hits shelves on October 9, 2026, via Amazon and the INIU official store, while details on the Rugged 20000 and Solar Panel 28W are still pending.

Since its founding in 2014, INIU has reached over 40 million users in 174 countries, with accolades including iF Design, Red Dot, and CES Innovation Awards. As the official power partner of the American Hiking Society, the Rugged Series represents the company’s initial push into a broader outdoor power ecosystem.

Why it matters: As outdoor recreation grows and devices become more power-hungry, rugged, solar-ready charging gear is shifting from a luxury to a necessity. INIU’s entry signals that mainstream brands are betting on durability and off-grid capability as core features, not afterthoughts.
