Phoenix Cyber secures spot on NASA’s $20 billion SEWP VI contract for federal IT services

–

When a government-wide acquisition contract carries a $20 billion ceiling, every award matters—especially for small businesses competing to serve federal missions. Phoenix Cyber, a Scottsdale-based cybersecurity firm, just secured its place on NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) VI program, giving federal agencies a direct and expedited path to its enterprise-grade cybersecurity and IT services. The award was announced Oct. 28, 2026.

Phoenix Data Security Inc., which does business as Phoenix Cyber, has been named an awardee on NASA’s SEWP VI Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). Specifically, the company received an award in Category C: IT Mission-Based Services, which the program describes as its largest small-business set-aside category. This classification allows Phoenix Cyber to offer federal agencies a broad range of technology services, including cybersecurity, software engineering, data analytics, IT consulting, network operations, and engineering support.

SEWP VI is structured as a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract. It enables federal agencies to procure information technology, communications, audiovisual solutions, and related services through a streamlined process. The contract has an individual awardee ceiling of $20 billion and a 10-year ordering period that runs from Nov. 1, 2026, through Oct. 31, 2036.

“Our federal team brings decades of experience in cybersecurity, data protection, application modernization, and automation across government agencies,” said Brian Kafenbaum, Founder and Managing Partner of Phoenix Cyber, in a statement. “SEWP VI gives agencies a faster way to bring that experience to their SOC modernization and security automation priorities, so they can reduce risk and put more of their teams’ time back into the mission.”

Phoenix Cyber brings more than 15 years of experience delivering cybersecurity engineering, automation, data protection, and operational sustainment services to U.S. government customers. The SEWP VI award joins the company’s existing contract vehicles, which include the GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS), DLA JETS 2.0, GSA OASIS+, and SeaPort NxG. This portfolio gives both defense and civilian agencies multiple ways to engage the company’s expertise.

Agencies can order through SEWP VI under contract number 80TECH26D0258. More information is available at https://phoenixcyber.com/government-contractor/nasa-sewp-vi-contract/.

Why it matters: With a $20 billion ceiling and a decade-long ordering window, SEWP VI represents a major channel for federal IT modernization. Phoenix Cyber’s inclusion means agencies can now bypass lengthy procurement cycles to access specialized cybersecurity and automation services—critical as threats evolve and mission demands grow.
