Firebird launches one of the world's fastest-deployed NVIDIA DSX AI factories, accelerating its global expansion across emerging markets.
HRAZDAN, ARMENIA, August 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Firebird today officially inaugurated the region’s largest NVIDIA DSX AI factory, a move that signals the operational start of its worldwide AI infrastructure platform and positions Armenia as a fresh strategic center for artificial intelligence computing.
The formal launch represented a pivotal achievement for both the company and the future of AI infrastructure across the area. Attendees at the ceremony included speeches from Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang, NVIDIA Vice President of Physical AI Simulation Rev Lebaredian, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, U.S. Embassy in Armenia David Allen, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhaslan Madiyev, as well as high-ranking government officials, global ambassadors, international tech leaders, academic figures, investors, and key industry collaborators. The presence of these prominent figures highlighted the project’s worldwide importance and underscored the increasing acknowledgment of AI infrastructure as a crucial strategic resource in the global economy.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated: “Exactly one year after signing the U.S. – Armenia Memorandum of Understanding on AI and technology cooperation with President Donald Trump, we are now seeing this major achievement.”
Firebird also revealed that NVIDIA intends to make an investment in the company, following an earlier investment by CoreWeave this year. These financial commitments will enable Firebird to broaden its global infrastructure and operational scope, as well as bolster its efforts to create the largest and most sophisticated compute clusters across emerging markets.
Building on this groundwork, the Firebird Armenian AI factory announced a development plan to expand beyond 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs by the close of 2027, increasing the platform to 300 megawatts of AI infrastructure capacity. This positions the project among Europe’s largest AI infrastructure platforms and as one of the world’s most notable AI computing centers. Constructed using the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory reference design and linked with NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking, Firebird’s AI factory is engineered to enhance the economics of AI infrastructure—supporting up to 40% more GPUs within the same space and maximizing the value of each megawatt.
Firebird’s growth approach already reaches beyond Armenia. Kazakhstan has become the company’s second market, where Firebird has obtained 125 megawatts of AI infrastructure capacity at Data Center Valley, backed by the required approvals from the Government of Kazakhstan and export authorization from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). Alongside several other frontier markets currently in development, Firebird is aiming for two gigawatts of AI infrastructure capacity by the end of 2028, establishing itself as one of the fastest-expanding AI infrastructure networks globally.
