UC Berkeley-Educated Engineer, Innovator in Rehabilitation Robotics, and AI Therapy Visionary Joins HAI4M to Drive Progress in Brain–Body–Behavior Intelligence
SILICON VALLEY, CA, UNITED STATES, July 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — HAI4M Holding Inc. revealed today that Professor Doyoung Jeon, Ph.D., has been named Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective July 15, 2026, strengthening the firm’s leadership as it pursues its goal of creating the premier global Brain–Body–Behavior (IBB) Intelligence Platform for human movement, functional recovery, neurorehabilitation, and brain health.
Dr. Jeon, a widely acknowledged pioneer in medical robotics, exoskeleton systems, intelligent control, and rehabilitation engineering, contributes over 35 years of expertise spanning research, innovation, teaching, industry, and public service. He obtained both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and has held the position of Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Sogang University since 1994.
Over his distinguished career, Dr. Jeon has influenced the progression of modern rehabilitation technologies through groundbreaking efforts in human–robot interaction, rehabilitation robotics, intelligent exoskeletons, and AI-driven therapeutic systems. He has written roughly 150 scientific papers, with his research cited more than 1,600 times globally. His provocative AI Therapist research illustrated how artificial intelligence can enhance clinical expertise by providing intelligent therapeutic direction during robotic rehabilitation—an early concept of what is quickly becoming the future of AI-enabled healthcare.
In addition to his scientific work, Dr. Jeon has held numerous leadership roles at the nexus of technology, education, and public policy, such as Dean of Engineering at Sogang University, Member of Korea’s National Science and Technology Advisory Council, and Member of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Policy Planning, aiding in the formation of national strategies for science, innovation, and industrial growth.
Jason Chen, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of HAI4M, commented:
“Professor Jeon embodies a rare blend of visionary scientist, technology architect, educator, and national innovation leader. For over three decades, his career has been devoted to restoring human movement and function via robotics, AI, and intelligent systems.
As HAI4M transitions from a global frontrunner in rehabilitation robotics and advanced movement technologies into a Brain–Body–Behavior Intelligence Platform company, Dr. Jeon’s expertise, vision, and groundbreaking work in AI-assisted rehabilitation make him exceptionally suited to spearhead that shift.”
In his role as CTO, Dr. Jeon will guide HAI4M’s worldwide technology strategy, intelligent device architecture, AI-focused product roadmap, and next-generation rehabilitation technologies. Collaborating across HAI4M, Hocoma, and Motek, he will help expedite the fusion of robotics, neurotechnology, sensing, artificial intelligence, and clinical intelligence into a unified platform capable of providing more personalized, adaptive, and effective care.
Regarding his appointment, Dr. Jeon stated:
“The merging of robotics, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and human-centered engineering is creating unparalleled opportunities to enhance human health and function. HAI4M’s Brain–Body–Behavior vision represents one of the most promising prospects to redefine the future of rehabilitation and human performance. I am privileged to join the team and contribute to technologies that can assist people in regaining mobility, independence, and quality of life.”
HAI4M holds that the future of healthcare will not be shaped by isolated devices, isolated therapies, or isolated AI models. Instead, it will be shaped by intelligent systems capable of grasping the full human journey—from brain intention, to body capability, to behavioral outcomes. Through its expanding ecosystem of robotics, virtual reality, neurotechnology, AI, and clinical intelligence, HAI4M is laying the groundwork for a new era of Human Function & Brain Health Intelligence.
