During its inaugural year, BoardWise started producing revenue while boosting signups and sales in various states and professions. Licensed professionals such as nurses, social workers, physicians, psychologists, and others have utilized the platform to manage complaints, investigations, continuing education audits, self-reporting requirements, probation issues, renewals, and additional licensing matters.
These cases have already yielded significant results, including dismissals of complaints, early probation termination, successful audits, and self-reporting situations that ended without any disciplinary action.
The last year also saw several key partnerships. BoardWise has collaborated with Anthropic, the Justice Technology Association, MedBridge, and SimplePractice while expanding its ecosystem around professional licensing, risk management, legal support, and access to justice.
BoardWise has further broadened its accessibility via connectors in ChatGPT and Claude, enabling professionals to obtain BoardWise resources and advice within the AI tools they are increasingly relying on daily. Meanwhile, the company has kept developing a state-by-state attorney network to help users when a case needs direct legal representation.
Additionally, BoardWise enters its second year with a larger leadership team.
Megan Jeans has joined BoardWise as Chief Legal Innovation Officer. She is a Harvard-trained attorney with a background in intellectual property law, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, LexisNexis, and corporate governance. Her experience includes creating and expanding legal technology products and teams, along with supporting both for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
Nathan Bourgoin has joined as Chief Technical Officer. He holds a master’s degree in software engineering and has worked at Amazon, Audible, Microsoft, and various startups. His background involves developing and scaling technology products and engineering teams during times of substantial growth and company acquisitions.
For BoardWise, the inaugural year focused on demonstrating that an alternative model for professional licensing assistance is feasible. The next phase will be about scaling it.
