TravelDistro Launches Türkiye’s First API-First B2B Travel Marketplace Unifying Six Verticals

TravelDistro, a business-to-business travel API marketplace, has unveiled a single consolidated platform that enables travel agencies to purchase tickets, tours, transfers, car rentals, eSIM, and hotel inventory throughout Turkey using one API contract.

TravelDistro operates as an API-first travel distribution platform: a single API key and one prepaid balance give agencies access to 33 API partners spanning six product verticals and nine destinations in Turkey. The platform currently handles roughly 38,000 quote requests each day and serves about 60,000 passengers annually.
Conventional travel agencies need to integrate a separate system for every product line, negotiate individual contracts, and reconcile multiple balances. TravelDistro eliminates that complexity with one set of credentials, one wallet, and one uniform contract covering all six verticals.

"Travel distribution works better as infrastructure," said Alper Tekin, founder of TravelDistro. "We built the marketplace we always wanted as operators — one integration that behaves like a modern payments API instead of six brittle connections."

The platform supports multi-currency pricing and settlement in Turkish Lira, US Dollar, Euro and British Pound. API content and support are available in English, Turkish, Persian and Spanish. Every request is signed using HMAC-SHA256 and can be safely retried with idempotency keys, ensuring network failures never lead to double bookings.

Rather than returning opaque server errors, TravelDistro delivers catalogued, machine-readable error codes accompanied by human-readable explanations and retry suggestions — a "zero 500s by design" principle borrowed from modern financial APIs.

TravelDistro is built by a team with hands-on tourism operations across İstanbul, Edirne and Dubai, covering tour operations, software, data and media companies. The team also publishes peer-reviewed research on travel distribution, DMC economics and inbound markets in Turkey.
Travel agencies and developers can browse the OpenAPI reference and test against simulated inventory using sandbox keys before going live.
