The latest airwiseOS feature combines radar, RF detection, Remote ID, ADS-B, video, telemetry, and enterprise data into Nexus, delivering a single operational picture for the industry.
Airwise Solutions has introduced Nexus, an open airspace-awareness platform that merges verified operational data into one unified view.
Nexus takes in and cross-references information from third-party sensors and operational systems—such as radar, radiofrequency (RF) detection, Remote ID, ADS-B, video, OEM drone telemetry, and other trusted cooperative and non-cooperative traffic sources. These data streams are combined and displayed through an integrated common operating picture meant for enterprise drone operations, counter-UAS awareness, and airspace management.
Nexus tackles a long-standing issue for public-safety agencies and critical-infrastructure operators: Airspace sensors and operational systems frequently come with separate interfaces, forcing personnel to juggle multiple disconnected screens before taking action. Nexus merges those feeds into one live display, linking detections with an organization’s own drone, personnel, and vehicle telemetry, so teams can observe and react to activity in their airspace from a single interface.
At the heart of this launch is an open partner framework. Sensor providers and other data-feed suppliers can connect with Nexus at no cost and on a non-exclusive basis, and one integration makes their information accessible to every Airwise client whose use case allows it. Partners maintain full ownership of their data, and Airwise—a software firm that does not manufacture hardware—provides a single common operating picture that supplies real-time, actionable operational intelligence. This strategy aims to quickly improve the airspace view while lowering the expense and difficulty of adopting the platform for each new client.
Airwise is initially rolling out Nexus in public safety, including drone-as-first-responder (DFR) and counter-UAS initiatives, as well as in energy and utilities, where teams inspect and safeguard large infrastructure sites. Among the collaborators backing the launch is Unmanned Vehicle Technologies, a public-safety drone integrator.
