The collaboration between Safe Pro and the U.S. Army has been strengthened through a CRADA that focuses on AI-driven situational awareness utilizing drone imagery and geospatial data.

Agreement Underscores Safe Pro’s AI-Enhanced Analysis of U.S. Army UAS-Captured Data for Operational, Disaster, and Critical Mission Support

Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ:SPAI)
AVENTURA, FL, UNITED STATES, August 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Safe Pro Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAI) (“Safe Pro” or the “Company”), a creator of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered defense, security, and situational awareness systems, revealed today that it has formalized a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the United States Army Engineer Research and Development Center (“ERDC”) to jointly explore the application of AI-driven image analysis under a program called Unified Situational Intelligence: UAS Enabled Data for Operational, Disaster, and Mission Critical Analysis.
Safe Pro Group Inc. is a B2i Digital Featured Company. See the company's in-depth profile at: https://b2idigital.com/safe-pro-group-inc-1
This CRADA is centered on harnessing AI-powered object detection and technologies related to uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and sensors to gather data and generate analytical outputs that bolster situational awareness and planning. The main priority will be dual-use solutions beneficial to both military personnel and civilian authorities within the broader field of engineering geospatial sciences, achieved by gathering intelligence on threats and hazards to enable faster awareness, enhanced coordination, and more informed on-the-ground decision-making.
“We are pleased to deepen our evolving partnership with the U.S. Army to now incorporate joint work on applying our patented AI-driven technologies to improve military operational effectiveness, as well as potentially a broad spectrum of civil works, military engineering, or disaster response initiatives,” commented Dan Erdberg, Chairman and CEO of Safe Pro Group.
The Company’s Safe Pro Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) AI platform processes imagery and video from virtually any drone to automatically identify and categorize explosive threats and other items of interest. This system transforms unprocessed video into high-resolution 2D/3D geospatial models that can be quickly disseminated to assist operational decision-making in defense, security, and humanitarian efforts. SPOTD can recognize more than 150 types of landmines and UXO, offering scalable situational awareness across extensive, high-risk zones. For nearly three years, SPOTD has been deployed in active operational settings in Ukraine, supported by an expanding proprietary dataset of over 2.9 million analyzed images, more than 54,328 identified threats, and coverage of roughly 37,900 acres.
