WorClean Launches Official Website After Going Live Across 97 Lodging Facilities

The monthly cleaning calendar from WorClean brings together cleaning timetables, property allocations, and task statuses across numerous lodging facilities.

WorClean captures before-and-after cleaning images and completion statuses within a single report for every lodging property.

This Japan-based cleaning management OS unifies scheduling, task assignments, progress tracking, and photo reports for the hospitality sector.

WorClean was developed from actual hospitality cleaning workflows, not from theoretical ideas.”— Shunsuke MiuraSAPPORO, HOKKAIDO, JAPAN, August 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — SM Holdings Co., Ltd. has unveiled the official website for WorClean, a cleaning management operating system tailored for lodging facilities and hospitality cleaning enterprises.

WorClean consolidates cleaning schedules, staff assignments, work directives, progress monitoring, photo-based reports, quality inspections, inventory data, and stakeholder communication into a single cloud-based platform.

The system is currently in active use across 97 lodging facilities managed by the Hoan Clean group, where its primary features handle daily cleaning instructions, progress oversight, and photo reporting. SM Holdings is continuously adding and refining features based on input from real-world cleaning operations.

Developed From Actual Hospitality Cleaning Operations

WorClean emerged from the operational expertise of Hoan Clean, a hospitality cleaning brand run by SM Holdings.

Cleaning duties for lodging properties require numerous tasks to be finished within the tight window between guest departure and the next arrival. Managers must organize schedules, assign cleaners, communicate property-specific instructions, verify work progress, review images, track supplies, and share updates with property owners and external vendors.

In many organizations, these activities remain scattered across messaging apps, phone calls, spreadsheets, paper checklists, and personal notes. As the number of properties and cleaners increases, fragmented communication can lead to missed verifications, inconsistent reports, and an increasing reliance on individual managers.

WorClean integrates these workflows into a shared system, allowing management firms, cleaning companies, cleaners, and property owners to access data relevant to their specific roles and permissions.

Core Features Currently Operational

WorClean currently offers features including:

• Cleaning schedule management
• Assignment of cleaners and service providers
• Property-specific work instructions
• Real-time cleaning status tracking
• Photo-based cleaning reports
• Quality review, approval, and return for correction
• Information sharing with property owners
• Member and permission management
• Amenities, linen, and consumables management
• LINE notification integration
• Cleaning cost and billing data management
• AI-assisted photo assignment
• Lodging schedule display using iCal reservation data

The AI-assisted photo assignment function enables cleaners to upload multiple images taken with a smartphone camera. The system analyzes these images and assigns them to the appropriate reporting fields based on reference photos.

During an internal pre-launch test, this feature achieved an automatic assignment success rate of roughly 80%. Outcomes may differ depending on the photography setting, image content, and facility conditions. This figure originates from internal testing and is not a performance guarantee.

WorClean also pulls reservation information in iCal format and shows lodging schedules separately from cleaning schedules. This allows not only cleaners but also staff handling linen and consumable delivery or pickup to confirm check-ins, check-outs, and consecutive stays when planning their tasks.

A Field-Driven Development Approach

WorClean gains advantages from direct exposure to actual cleaning operations. The Hoan Clean group currently oversees cleaning activities across 97 facilities in Tokyo, Chiba, and Sapporo, with additional operations underway in Asahikawa and Kushiro. More than 10 extra facilities are also scheduled for inclusion.

Through its own operations and regional collaborators, the project has access to a cleaning operations network of approximately 50 individuals. This number refers to a network of cleaning businesses, cleaners, and regional partners and does not indicate the employee count of WorClean or SM Holdings.

This network allows the project team to gather operational requirements, test workflows, identify usability challenges, and continuously enhance the product based on field feedback and operational data.

Future Development and Collaborations

WorClean is initially concentrating on vacation rentals, private lodging properties, small hotels, hospitality cleaning firms, vacation rental management companies, and licensed residential lodging management businesses.

Future development could involve stronger integrations with property management systems, smart locks, access-control data, linen providers, inventory suppliers, and other hospitality technology services. The project also intends to extend its application to hotels, property management, facility management, and multi-location operations.

After refining the product and business model in Japan, SM Holdings is also exploring potential expansion into Southeast Asian markets, such as Vietnam and the Philippines. No overseas launch date or target market has been finalized.

Development and operations are currently led by SM Holdings Co., Ltd. The company is also preparing to establish a new entity centered on WorClean, with the aim of consolidating relevant intellectual property and contracts into that organization in the future.

“WorClean was born from actual operational difficulties. Our objective is to transform cleaning from a task reliant on individuals into a repeatable, data-driven business process,” stated Shunsuke Miura, Founder & CEO of the WorClean Project.

“We will keep improving the platform one field issue at a time, with the long-term goal of building a cleaning management OS in Japan and bringing it to the global market.”

WorClean welcomes inquiries about implementation, pilot programs, joint verification, system integrations, business partnerships, media coverage, and strategic collaboration.
